Heeey, it's a person who does not look like anyone Tuomi's met yet! Which just means he hasn't tried very hard.

It's an alien! Leave your plant and run. You can always come back for it.

You're failing in the not-scaring bit... You're going to have to get rid of the whole shadowy effect to do so.

I just love the plants around their heads. So adorable!

@Shinashi: Those pesky shadows, always showing up when least needed!

Thank you, I love drawing them! <3

@Cesario: That's very interesting, in an eldritch kind of way :) It really makes me wonder to what extent these people are of plant nature. I mean, the fact that they survive on glucose solution does already hint quite strongly in that direction + the leaves that seem to pretty much grow out of their heads...

@December: Well read! :)

There will be a lot more hints to the specific qualities of our fairies and their relationship to plant life here and there in the long run, though we'll aim to keep it pretty subtle not to be too explainy.

@Cesario: Oh, I'd like that, the not-too-explainy part. Fairies are fairies for the reason that they are mysterious and eldritch, right?

That said, I do have a lot of questions now. Don't expect you to answer, just musing aloud. Are they season-sensitive, do they grow sluggish in winter, do their head-weeds change during the year? Do they require greater amounts of sunlight exposure for good health than humans? What is their relationship with insects? Does their connection with plants have anything to do with their hypnotic ability? What colour is their blood? I could go on :)

@December: All excellent things to ponder!

To many of these will be getting eventual answers too. :)

@Cesario: Oh cool. I just thought of another one. Do they get accosted by bees in the flowering season? Probly a lil silly, but couldn't resist, the image of our hero swatting at bumblebees is pretty cute to me.
